Dahlan Iskan : Jangan Menaruh Harapan Terlalu Banyak

Saya sudah biasa dengan sikap untuk tidak berharap banyak pada apapun dan pada siapapun. Ini, menurut pendapat saya, baik. Karena akan membuat saya merasa lebih bahagia. Setidaknya tidak akan membuat saya terlalu kecewa.

Bukankah bahagia dan kecewa sebenarnya bisa kita ciptakan sendiri? Orang akan merasa bahagia kalau keinginannya tercapai. Orang akan merasa kecewa kalau keinginannya tidak tercapai.

Pak Dahlan, saya yakin Bapak tidak akan pernah tersesat sampai ke sini dan membaca blog saya ini. Namun itu tidak menjadi penghalang bagi saya untuk tetap mengagumi perjuangan hidup Bapak. Saya kagum dengan wawasan luas serta prinsip hidup Bapak, terutama yang saya kutip di atas.

Entah kenapa, saya seperti menemukan satu-satunya orang yang sependapat dengan saya mengenai "jangan terlalu berharap" saat membaca cerita Bapak tersebut.

Hidup saya selama ini mengajarkan untuk tidak bermimpi terlalu tinggi, agar tidak terlalu kecewa saat impian itu musnah begitu saja, persis seperti yang Bapak katakan di atas. Bahkan saya justru sering njagani kemungkinan terburuk setiap aktivitas saya.

Doa saya untuk kesembuhan Bapak. Lekas sehat kembali, masih banyak yang harus saya pelajari dari Bapak.
